Scientists find carcinogens in day to day chemicals

The human life has evolved along with science and technology. The industrial revolution has changed the way we consume products and even the products we consume. The industrial scale production means use of chemicals and preservatives at every stage and this daily exposure to chemicals is proving to be dangerous. The lethal blend of chemicals in day to day life is highly carcinogenic.

Dr Linda Gulliver, a researcher from New Zealand informed about the missing links between commonly available chemicals and cancer. She tracked development of cancer due to continuous exposure to chemicals.  The detailed report was published in the journal Carcinogenesis. The chemical combinations used in our day to day environments may accelerate the development of cancer in the body.

The researcher from Faculty of medicine from Otago University further added that this is the part of the bigger Halifax Project, which will explore more links between daily chemicals and cancer. Getting to Know Cancer is an international body investigating these factors. Its high profile task force started cancer research on heritable and lifestyle factors back in 2013.
There is already enough evidence to believe that one in five patient develop cancer due to chemical exposure. The researchers are exploring the combination of chemicals which cause cancer.  Team of 174 scientists from 28 countries analyzed samples of 85 chemicals, which are expected to be carcinogens. The effects were studied with respect of cancer developing mechanisms.

Low level exposure to set of chemicals is not harmful and one researcher from the team cleared that one at a time testing is not advisable for this kind of experiment.
